EvalPro is led by Dr Katie Tyrrell and Paulo Vieira Braga. Our founders’ expertise comes from university roles and evaluations with public and voluntary sector organisations. We bring that experience to your programme, helping you understand the difference it makes and what to do next.Evaluation expertise with real programmes and peopleProgrammes rarely come with perfect data or neat evaluation conditions. We’re used to working with that reality. Paulo combines training in data science and artificial intelligence with experience making sense of complex administrative datasets. While Katie combines her expertise in interviews, focus groups, and creative research with vulnerable people to understand and explain peoples' lived experiences. Where feasible, we fuse these two approaches to create evaluations that use causal-inference methods to estimate impact and lived experiences to explain how a programme works for the people involved. Our founders’ experience spans student support, health services, young carers and youth justice, alongside peer-reviewed research in education, mental health and data science.Connecting evaluation with strategyOur founders have experience developing strategic plans spanning three years or more to address inequalities, bringing together theories of change, programme evaluations and practical project plans. We understand how to connect a long-term ambition with the day-to-day work of delivery, then use the evidence to review progress and decide what needs to change.Clear findings and support for your teamWe take the time to explain findings in plain language, so your team can understand what they mean for your programme. Our founders have experience teaching and have developed training programmes for practitioners in a variety of settings. Reporting can include technical reports, concise summaries, infographics or short videos, with practical recommendations your team can use.
